Timothe Chalamet Is The New Fragrance Ambassador For Bleu De Chanel

Actor Timothée Chalamet is the new face of Bleu de Chanel, the men’s fragrance from the French luxury fashion brand Chanel. The brand confirmed the development with a series of posts on Instagram on May 15.

That sand dunes the actor replaces French star Gaspard Ulliel, who was the long-time face of the fragrance before his death in a skiing accident in January 2022.

Chalamet is joined by Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, who is also a fragrance ambassador for Chanel.

Chanel made the official confirmation on Instagram

“CHANEL is pleased to announce that Timothée Chalamet will be the fragrance ambassador for BLEU DE CHANEL. A fragrance for the man who is deep in himself,” read the company announcement on Instagram, alongside a picture of Chalamet.

In a subsequent post, the fashion brand said that Chalamet “embodies a man who is very himself”.

Hours later, Chanel released a short video of Chalamet and its Bleu de Chanel fragrance.

The post comes after Chalamet dropped an image of Chanel’s classic “CC” logo in black and white, with the caption “CC X TC OTW” on his Instagram account.

After the reveal, the actor posted several photos posing in different looks for Chanel.

27-year-old Chalamet, who received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in Call Me by Your Name (2017), reportedly seen filming a commercial directed by Martin Scorsese in New York City in April.

Scorsese has a long-term advertising contract with Chanel. This gave birth to speculation that the actor will become the face of the French luxury house.

The director was also behind the first Bleu de Chanel short in 2010 when Ulliel was named Chanel’s first male face.
