Could Labrum be King Charles’ new favorite fashion label?

When Queen Elizabeth attended her first London Fashion Week show in 2018, she caused a sensation, cementing her status as a nonagenarian style icon.

The visit was made to mark the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II prize for British design, won that year by Richard Quinn who included the hijab in his maximalist collection as a tribute to one of the late Queen’s signature styles.

Now in its 6th year, the gifts were presented by King Charles for the first time on Thursday. And, like her mother in 2018, there’s synergy between Her Majesty and the label she’s presented with this year’s award, Labrum London.

Her Royal Highness wore a navy suit undoubtedly made by one of her favorite Savile Row tailors, Anderson and Sheppard or Hackett when she presented this year’s gift to Foday Dumbaya, the Sierra Leonean-born London founder of Labrum, a menswear label known for blending.
