The veteran men’s fashion manufacturer celebrates its 75th anniversary in Zebulon

The local veteran’s jeans manufacturer is celebrating its 75th birthday in Zebulon, NC

Dungare Demon-Dogs there in stores nationwide, like Nordstrom And Dillard’s. Its name was inspired by the US Marines who were nicknamed devil dogs during World War I.

Whatever we can do to pay homage to North Carolina, every one of our weather-red patches on the back of our Devil-Dog jeans proudly says Zebulon, North Carolina, says Jeffrey Rosenstock, co-owner of the company. We hope that millions of people will put on our jeans and they will own Zebulon, North Carolina and say, ‘What is all this about?’

Devil-Dog Dungarees later relaunched the brand in 2019 as a denim and men’s lifestyle company now selling T-shirts, pants and shorts.

We really wanted to pay homage when we relaunched the brand by naming all of our washes after different cities across the Carolinas, said Rosenstock.

Some of the cities named for the wash or color of their jeans include Clayton, Boone, and Durham.

The company also supports non-profits The Wounded Warrior Project, which provides services for disabled veterans. Every Devil-Dog pair of jeans comes with a dog tag to spread awareness about the Wounded Warrior Project. Devil-Dog Dungarees has donated more than $125,000 to nonprofits.

As part of its 75th anniversary, the neon lights at the Zebulon factory will be restored at a private ceremony on June 8.
