Uorfi Javed: From a laughingstock to a darling of the fashion industry

She was first seen on Bigg Boss OTT and little did she know that this girl from Lucknow would become the most famous internet personality in no time. It all starts with Uorfi Javed stepped out in the most outlandish outfits and a bunch of paparazzi shared the video on their Instagram handle. Saying that her wardrobe is questionable is subjective, but she definitely learned how to stay center stage with all the accoutrements that go into making her dresses. She can make tops out of bubble gum or dresses out of trash bags. Some people might find it off-putting, but if you’re someone for whom fashion is a form of self-expression then maybe Uorfi has got it right.
In a previous interview given to The Times of India, Uorfi has explained why she likes to dress differently, “Whatever I do, I do for myself because we all want to look and feel good. And if people are hooked by dresses, then there’s a problem there… they need help,” he claims.
Uorfi makes a living from his unique dress sense. He earns more than many other TV stars or influencers. From being a DIY queen to everything in between, Uorfi has made the adage – fake it till you make it, truly true to itself.

Even the leading names in the fashion industry approve of Uorfi’s style now. She recently attended the launch of designer Amit Aggarwal’s store in New Delhi and the designer believes Uorfi is herself in the way she dresses. “I often see Uorfi’s journey as one of transformation, morphing every day into something new. It’s very clear that she really enjoys the process of mixing looks and having fun with clothes. She’s not afraid to express herself through fashion and not that at all. ultimately all about fashion it’s hard not to notice someone who has so much fun in the process of being themselves without regrets and using fashion as an art form and I think it’s only a matter of time that she gets the love she deserves from everyone,” Aggarwal quotes.

He was also invited by the designer duo Shantnu & Nikhil and Gaurav Gupta for their respective store launches in Mumbai. Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla were the first to dress Uorfi in their creations when other designers were still unsure about sending their designs to Uorfi. He even played on their inspiration for one of their campaigns. We use him for movies. People say he has nothing but he is brave, where are girls like this? And his own thoughts and bright thoughts. He knows exactly what he’s doing unlike, in my opinion, most actors who don’t know what’s going on around them, said the designer duo.

The 25 year old cares what people have to say and she is certainly the most relevant personality on social media today.
