2023 NBA Draft – Top five picks mode compared to 2003

[ad_1]

For the top picks of the 2023 NBA draft, what they wear could be as memorable as where they land.

Perhaps that sentiment was best expressed when one of the greatest draft classes of all time entered the NBA in 2003. The top five picks alone earned four Hall of Famers, but while their achievements on the court are undeniable, their sense of fashion at times can be called into question.

Here’s a comparison of the style of the NBA’s newest up-and-coming star against a player from one of the league’s most legendary drafts.

Choice number 1

Considered the “Chosen One” while in high school, James had high expectations of St. Vincent-St. Maria High School. Now the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, the only thing longer than James’ award list may be the cloth used on his oversized all-white daily suit.

No. 2 choose

In his first season, Milicic became the youngest player to play in the NBA Finals and became the NBA champion. Although it ended up being the pinnacle of her career, her outfits have probably stood the test of time quite well in comparison to the other quintet.

No. 3 choose

If Anthony and James have an unspoken competition for who can wear the loosest suit of the night, then the former Syracuse Orange star is the winner. She paired the gray ensemble with the yellow buttons that show through her six-button suit which is fastened only at the top.

Number 4 choose

In 2020, Bosh revealed that he had two suit day plans made up and decided to go with a beige look. Although the extraordinarily long suit followed the trend of the time, it was one of the more stylish ensembles of the bunch.

Number 5 pick

Wade wears a suit that features some shades of blue and isn’t as memorable compared to some of his counterpart’s threads – but that’s not a bad thing.

Here’s another top look at the NBA draft.
