As the worlds of media and fashion shopping continue to collide, online retailers are the leading source of fashion content and one of the most well-known, Net-A-Porter, has recently made a landmark appointment in this space.

Chloe Street has been named Head of Fashion Content at the luxury e-tailer.
She was previously the Fashion Editor at the Evening Standard, a free London-based newspaper, where she wrote about fashion and beauty, covering shopping pages, profiles and product reviews.
It was good preparation for her new role at Net-A-Porter and continues a long tradition of high-profile journalists moving into the trade in either content roles like this or as founders of businesses and brands.
The world of print magazines has been steadily shrinking in recent years with many consumers now improving their fashion and beauty through their favorite online magazines. And the content often has a strong commercial aspect that goes directly to the store via the store view link. Online fashion retailers are more often than not cutting out the middleman and self-publishing massive amounts of content every day.
Street has been at the Evening Standard since January 2018, prior to which he spent two years at Hong Kong Tatler.
