Ashley Grahams Newspaper Print Dress Reminiscent Of This Carrie Bradshaw Look

When it comes to summer fashion, Ashley Graham isn’t afraid to embrace the maximalist moment. Just take a look Instagram models account and you’ll see that she clearly loves bold prints, eccentric colors and quirky silhouettes. Such happened on July 24, when Graham wore a quirky newspaper print gown while celebrating National Tequila Day at Clase Azul Mxico in Brooklyn, New York. For Sex and the city fans, this model’s unusual design will instantly remind you of Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic newspaper print number.

In Season 3, episode 17 of the series, Carrie made her debut with a John Galliano performance for Dior while walking through the streets of NYC. (She also later wore the dress back in the film Sex and the City 2.) While Carrie’s cut had an asymmetrical hemline and a matte look to the fabric, Graham’s shimmery version featured a sultry bustier bodice and super short silhouette. The front slit also gives the overall look a touch of sensuality. She styled her dress in crystal heels from Amina Muaddi and much like Carrie, she wore a delicate gold ring and earrings. The star kept accessories to a minimum so her dress really shined in the spotlight.

Graham isn’t the only celebrity to step into the ultra-fashionable Carrie shoes, Emily Ratajkowski wore a similar midi newspaper print dress last year. Back in April 2022, she rocked a Miaou design complete with sheer black sunglasses and knee-high brown boots. Newspaper prints have always been a favorite of celebrities Rita prayed wearing prints in 2018 and Kim Kardashian wearing her wrap skirt version in 2019.

For her beauty look at the event, Graham styled her hair loose in beachy waves and opted for a dreamy latte aesthetic, complete with glossy lips and bronzed cheeks.
