Health & Safety Event | SFCM

The health and safety of the SFCM community is of the highest priority. As of August 1, 2021, all SFCM professors, staff and college students must be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. To help maintain a safe campus environment for the SFCM community, patrons of SFCM events are required to show full proof of vaccination. Proof of vaccination required

• Patrons of events taking place at SFCM facilities and aged 12 years and over must present proof of complete vaccination against the COVID-19 virus (using a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization). Complete vaccination is defined as two weeks after the final dose in the vaccination schedule.
• When registering or purchasing seats for SFCM events, each event listed on the SFCM website will include an online link to register for seats. Proof of vaccination will be required upon entering the SFCM buildings for events.
• Customers who do not present proof of vaccination or do not adhere to SFCM security protocols will be prohibited from entering and / or evacuating campus facilities.
• The pre-college has different vaccination protocols. Pre-university events can only be open to the SFCM pre-university community.

Masks and distancing

• A face cover is required to enter the SFCM facilities and must be worn at all times. Face masks should completely cover the nose and mouth. Gaiters, bandanas and masks with exhaust valves are not acceptable.
• Physical distancing is not required, but the number of seats can be changed for each event.

Ticket office and entrance

• Online tickets or seat confirmation can be printed or displayed on mobile devices upon entering the building. Tickets will not be available for on-call pickup.
• Front desk staff will check tickets when customers enter the building, and ushers will guide customers to their seats.
• Lines can form on the outside of the building. For most events, hall doors will open 30 minutes before the concert start time.
• The SFCM Blue Bird Café is currently closed for concerts.
• Masks must be worn before entering the building.

Ventilation and sanitation

• The HVAC system at 50 Oak Street is highly filtered and regulated. The filtered fresh air enters and leaves the building in various ways, and the filters are regularly checked and changed.
• All performance venues at 50 Oak Street are supplied with 100% filtered, tempered outdoor air for added comfort. Performance spaces are designed to evacuate air rather than recirculate it, which increases air changes and helps maintain a healthy environment.
• All SFCM spaces are cleaned and disinfected daily, including performance halls and washrooms.
