Children may soon be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine

TAMPA, Florida – Pfizer officials say the company plans to submit data regarding the Covid-19 vaccine and children aged 5 to 11 by the end of the month and barring the unforeseen circumstances, USF’s Dr Michael Teng believes the FDA could give its approval under an emergency use authorization around ‘Halloween. He says that even under an EUA, the vaccine would still be considered safe.

“It has to be sure first, this is the most important part of any trial,” he said.

As some parents struggle to decide whether or not to vaccinate their children against COVID-19[female[feminine, others are impatiently awaiting the pictures, in particular with children go back to class.

“We’re definitely ready to line them up for the vaccine. We trust the science,” Bonnie Levitt said.

“The kids have no protection right now,” commented Allison McDowell. “We’re at the most vulnerable point I’m feeling in this whole virus with everyone going back to school.”

Pfizer also plans to submit data for children 6 months to 5 years old by the end of October.
