LA County Provides List of Acceptable Vaccine Records for Entry to Indoor Events of Over 1,000 People

ANGELS – A new order from the Los Angeles County health official issued on Friday will require proof of vaccination for all customers and employees of indoor bars, breweries, nightclubs, wineries and distilleries. All customers and employees will need at least one dose of vaccine by October 7 and a second dose by November 4.

The new order will also require all attendees and employees at outdoor mega-events with 10,000 or more people to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours. This requirement, which goes into effect on October 7, will affect all major outdoor sporting events and will also impact major theme parks, such as Universal Studios Hollywood and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

According to county health officials, acceptable proof of immunization status includes photo identification with one of the following:

• CDC COVID-19 vaccination record (white card)
• World Health Organization (WHO) vaccination card (yellow card)
• California Department of Public Health (CDPH) COVID-19 Digital Vaccination Record
• Another COVID-19 digital vaccination record issued by an approved company
• Vaccination documentation from the health care provider or the entity that provided the COVID-19 vaccines
• California Immunization Registry (CAIR2) vaccination record

Proof of vaccination should include the person’s name, type of COVID-19 vaccine, and date of doses administered. The person can show the immunization card, a photo of the card as a separate document, or a photo of the card stored on a phone or electronic device.

Acceptable proof of a negative test includes a photo ID with test results which must include the person’s name, type of COVID-19 viral test performed, and negative test result. The date the COVID-19 test was performed must be within 72 hours of the event. Test results can be a hard copy or on a phone, including an email or text message from the test vendor or lab.

According to figures released Friday, 76% of eligible county residents aged 12 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, and 67% are fully immunized. Of the 10.3 million people in the county, including those 12 and under who are not eligible for injections, 65% have received at least one dose and 58% are fully immunized.
