Dallas, 10 with underlying conditions, dies of COVID-19 – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 10-year-old girl and two women in their 20s with underlying health issues are three of the 17 people who most recently died in Dallas County from COVID-19. The child was from Mesquite, as was one of the 20-year-olds and the other woman was from Dallas.

A total of 4,604 residents of Dallas County have lost their lives to the coronavirus, according to health officials.

Here are the 14 other deceased people listed in the most recent report:

– A woman in her thirties who resided in the city of Grand Prairie. She was found deceased at home and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A woman in her 40s who resided in the town of Cedar Hill. She had been seriously ill at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A man in his forties who resided in the town of Irving. He had been seriously ill at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A man in his forties who resided in the town of Mesquite. He died in an emergency department at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health conditions.

– A woman in her forties who resided in the town of Desoto. She had been seriously ill at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A man in his forties who resided in the city of Dallas. He was found deceased at his home and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A woman in her forties who resided in the town of Lancaster. She had been hospitalized and had underlying high-risk health conditions.

– A woman in her fifties who resided in the city of Dallas. She had been seriously ill at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A man in his fifties who resided in the town of Garland. He was found deceased at his home and had no underlying high-risk health issues.

– A man in his 70s who lived in the town of Desoto. He had been seriously ill at a local hospital and had underlying high-risk health issues.

– A woman in her 70s who resided in the town of Garland. She had been hospitalized and had underlying high-risk health conditions.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends taking daily preventive measures to help prevent the spread of respiratory disease, including:

• If you are not vaccinated, avoid close contact outside your home andut 6 feet away between you and people who do not live in your household.
• Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering when you are around others and continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face covering is not a substitute for social distancing.
• Stay home when you are sick, except for medical attention
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and help young children to do the same. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with sick people.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily using regular household cleaning spray or wipes.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If you don’t have a tissue, use your sleeve, not your hands. Wash your hands immediately.
• Monitor your health daily. Pay attention to the symptoms. Take your temperature and follow the CDC’s advice if symptoms appear.
• The CDC recommends that anyone with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 get tested, regardless of their vaccination status or previous infection.
• If you are getting tested because you have symptoms or have been potentially exposed to the virus, you should stay away from others while awaiting test results and follow the advice of your health care provider or doctor. a public health professional.
