ST. PAUL – Officials from the State Department of Health announced Tuesday, October 5, the opening of a COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment clinic in St. Paul.
The department said the new clinic would make outpatient treatment more easily accessible to residents of the Twin Cities area sick with COVID-19. Antibody treatment can help people with COVID-19 recover faster and reduce their symptoms.
Patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms who started within 10 days and who are at high risk of being hospitalized or dying from the illness are eligible to receive treatment. They can contact their health care provider to help them make an appointment or request one through the online tool.
“This clinic will strengthen the existing capacity of providers in the Twin Cities to deliver this life-saving treatment,” Minnesota Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm said in a press release.
