CVS Pharmacy began offering the COVID-19 vaccine to children on Sunday.

There are 10 CVS sites immunizing children aged 5 to 11 in the Bronx and Brooklyn combined.

Children in this age group will receive one third of the usual adult dose.

From Monday, the city will also begin holding day-long immunization clinics during school hours at schools across the city that serve children aged 5 to 11.

A parent or guardian must be present or give verbal or written consent for a child to receive an injection.

Pediatricians say it is normal for your child to have symptoms after the injection.
