27 active cases of COVID-19 in Innisfail

464 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 3 days in Alberta. Approximately 10,000 (10,424) tests were performed for a test positivity rate of approximately 4.4%.

There are 470 people hospitalized in Alberta due to COVID-19.

There are 1,836 active cases of COVID-19 in the Calgary area, 1,132 in the Edmonton area and 760 in the central area.

535 new variant cases were identified.

Sundre remains at 2 active cases of the virus. Crossfield remains at 12, Innisfail at 27, Three Hills / Highway 21 at 12, Sylvan Lake at 25, Olds at 21, Didsbury / Carstairs / South Mountain View County area at 26, and Rocky Mountain House is at up ‘to 43.

Red Deer County has up to 42 active cases of COVID-19, while Mountain View County has just 28.

Over 325,000 (325,204) Albertans have recovered from the virus.

As of November 22, more than 6.8 (6,816,267) million doses of vaccine have been administered in Alberta.

According to Alberta dot ca data, 70.8 percent of Olds residents have received at least one dose of vaccination while 67.2 percent are fully vaccinated.

The rush to make appointments for the COVID-19 vaccination for children aged five to 11 in Alberta did not go well for many parents and guardians when reservations opened on Wednesday.

Alberta Health has confirmed that four pharmacies that do not have access to pediatric vaccines were incorrectly listed on its only booking site for children.

An AHS spokesperson said pharmacies had been contacted and were in the process of canceling appointments – but could not say how many were taken in error.
