A vegan who refused the Covid-19 vaccine because it was tested on animals died from the virus.
British man Glynn Steel faced a possibly preventable two-week battle in intensive care, ultimately begging nurses for the Covid-19 vaccine. It was too late to save him.
Glynn, from Worcestershire, was two months away from his 55th birthday when he died on November 16.
He started with what he thought was a cold and gradually got worse before testing positive for Covid-19 on October 27.
He then deteriorated rapidly due to his age and lack of vaccine.
His wife Emma called for an ambulance but none were available, so she had to drive her unconscious husband to hospital on her own.
A few weeks later he died.

Emma, who received a double shot, says she now faces “an empty future on her own” and called on everyone to get vaccinated.
“I urge everyone I know to get vaccinated.” she said.
She revealed some of his last words, where he said: “I have never felt so bad, I wish I had the vaccine.”
“It was heartbreaking.
“He begged for the vaccine when he was in intensive care before going to intensive care, but they said it was too late.
“I cry myself in dehydration every night, and let the tears flow like a river in the morning and wake up at night crying.
“It’s having to tell the people who loved him that they’ll never see him again, and seeing that pain in them. I’m used to trying to make people laugh, not cry.
“He was a very sweet soul, he was a vegan and didn’t want the Covid vaccine because it was tested on animals.”
Emma made the heartbreaking decision to turn off her life support. He died 20 minutes later.
Glynn loved animals and looked after a total of six rescue cats and dogs at his home.
His love for dogs was also evident when he brought home a needy dog from Sri Lanka while on vacation.
His hesitation about vaccination began after reading that the producers of many Covid-19 vaccines, including Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, had tested theirs on animals.
An access to information request on animal studies performed for Covid-19 vaccines with the Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Agency said that, by law, medicines “must be tested on animals “.
Their customer service center said: “Regarding the question regarding animal testing in general, the law requires that new drugs be tested on animals before they can move on to phase testing in human volunteers. clinical trials. “
Glynn’s niece, Charlotte Steel, started a Gofundme page to raise money for the funeral.
