Updated vaccine requirements for U students

[ad_1]

Happy New Year and welcome to the spring semester 2022. Students attending the University of Utah must be fully immunized against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and COVID-19 or indicate a medical, religious or personal exemption. for one or both. Starting this semester, students will need to receive a reminder to comply with the COVID-19 requirement.

Students who do not comply by showing that they have received the vaccines or by indicating a exemption will have an “expectation” placed on their file which will prevent registration for future courses. Subsequent fulfillment of the requirement with the vaccine or an exemption will void the suspension. Previously accepted COVID vaccine exemptions will be honored for the recall and do not need to be resubmitted. Those who are in the process of fulfilling the requirement will not be selected.

I appreciate every member of the University of Utah community who is actively taking pandemic precautions. We know the best way out of this global health crisis and return to the exceptional face-to-face collegial experience the university offers by following the most recent advice from our public health experts, including the recommendation of the CDC. for COVID-19 booster doses.
