If it feels like almost everyone you know has COVID-19, is waiting for COVID test results, or is recovering from COVID, it’s not your imagination.
January 2022 was, by far, Michigan’s worst month yet for confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the state. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Resources recorded nearly 370,000 confirmed cases last month, and the final tally is not yet available. This is 75% more cases than the previous record set in December 2021, with 209,451 cases.
