A new study by Western University in London, Ontario, shows that university students who regularly attended vaping wanted to reduce their consumption after learning about the threat this habit could pose to their health.
The study was led by doctoral student Babac Salmani and health science professor Harry Prapavessis.
It involved showing undergraduate students, most of whom were regular vapers, an eight-minute video featuring medical professionals and people who used to vape talking about research and risks .

Vaping is popular among young people, with Statistics Canada reporting that 29% of Canadians aged 15-19 and about half of those aged 20-24 have tried it.
