Health Intern – RefugePoint

Title: Health Intern
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Treatment: KES 30,000 per month
Reports to: health program manager

RefugePoint was founded in 2005 to provide durable solutions for the world’s most vulnerable refugees. We work to meet the critical and unmet needs of people affected by war and conflict who have fallen through the net of humanitarian aid, especially women, children and urban refugees.

Main responsibilities

• Data Management – Support the healthcare team in the process of identifying erroneous or corrupt data in the medical and sales force consulting data fields;
• Participate in medical relays;
• Support the medical team to cross-check the drugs received and put them on the shelves;
• Participate in the registration of clients with the NHIF;
• Support the medical team in the delivery of MOH reports to Dagoretti Sub County Health Management Team offices;
• Assist medical staff in choosing medical products in the offices of Riruta Health Center, National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP);

Any other duties assigned by the Health Program Manager.

Requirements:

• Nursing degree and recently completed/or student pursuing a degree or diploma in Counseling Psychology;
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya or the Kenya Psychological Association;
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
• Experience working with databases will be an added advantage;
• A combination of one year of work experience is preferred.
