Virginia primary care group using AI tool to identify medical conditions

Based in Forest, Va., Central Virginia Family Physicians partners with artificial intelligence company Navia to help doctors identify life-threatening conditions, such as chronic diabetes, chronic kidney disease and morbid obesity, wilmington fox announced May 15.

The tool helps compile medical data from multiple sources and saves doctors time browsing through the EHR. For each patient visit, physicians spend an average of 16 minutes and 14 seconds using EHR data to review data and take notes, according to the report.
