Use this article to quickly find answers to common questions about Health Connect.

Why the data was not synchronized

There are several reasons why your data might not sync:

How data is merged in case of conflicts

When multiple applications write the same type of data, that data is merged. If there is a conflict, Health Connect uses the app priority you set to choose which app data to prioritize.

For example, if fitness app A and fitness app B both write the step count from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Health Connect takes the step count from the app that has the highest priority.

While some apps can use the data merged by Health Connect, others can choose to read all the data and merge it in their own way. If you want only one app to write a certain type of data, you can remove permissions from all other apps that write that data.

Why data is different from expectations

Health Connect allows multiple apps to write data to the same storage on the device. Accordingly, inaccuracies may occur for a number of reasons.

You can delete any inaccurate data so that Health Connect does not use it. If you want only one app to write a certain type of data, you can remove permissions from all other apps that write that data.

Why an application does not read or write a certain type of data
