Dr. Eduardo Perozo stands as a beacon in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently holding a prestigious position as a Professor at the University of Chicago’s Institute for Biophysical Dynamics and honored as a Pritzker Fellow, Dr. Perozo’s journey in unraveling the mysteries of ion channels has been both impactful and inspiring.

At the heart of Dr. Perozo’s research lie the intricate processes that govern ion channel gating. Ion channels are essential proteins embedded within cell membranes, allowing specific ions to move in and out of cells, thereby facilitating a myriad of physiological processes.
