Cincinnati Health Department releases measles exposure health form after incident at Heritage Bank Center

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The Cincinnati Health Department released a measles exposure health form to the public Monday for residents to fill out if they have been exposed to the virus.

Residents who fill out the form will authorize the Cincinnati Health Department to collect information about those who may have been exposed.

This comes after the measles exposure that occurred at the Heritage Bank Center on Friday during the Disney on Ice performance.

“As previously stated, individuals who attended the show or were in the Heritage Bank Center up to two hours after the performance may have been exposed to measles. However, there is no cause for panic. Most individuals have received the MMR vaccine, which provides robust protection against measles,” the health department said in a press release.

Measles symptoms include:

• High fever
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Watery eyes
• A rash three to five days after other symptoms

Officials with the health department say the person with measles is not a Cincinnati resident.
