MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – An Emmy-nominated host is using her platform to help address the challenges black women experience when it comes to breast cancer.
Nina Parker is personally affected by the topic since her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago.
Parker spoke on the Digital Desk alongside breast surgeon and advocate Dr. Monique Gary to discuss “Uncovering TNBC,” a campaign that promotes self-advocacy, awareness, support, and connection for black women impacted by the disease.
