At Highlander Health, we’re building the infrastructure to transform how clinical evidence is generated. Through Highlander Health Institute and Highlander Health Partners, we’re tackling systemic barriers, like siloed data, integration challenges, and outdated clinical trial frameworks, by creating real-world learning laboratories in partnership with leading institutions. Our current collaborations include: Baylor Scott & White Health‘s work to use real-world data for trial and registry support; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center‘s reimagining of decentralized trials through centralized operations; and the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy‘s framework to enable fit-for-purpose, longitudinal clinical data. These efforts are helping to lay the foundation for a scalable, interoperable, and sustainable data ecosystem that can improve care delivery while advancing research.
Last month, we hosted the Inaugural Highlander Health Institute Summit to review early findings, align on key priorities, and chart a path forward. Discussions centered on modernizing evidence generation through pragmatic data use, right-sized infrastructure, and patient-centered integration of research and care. Participants highlighted the urgency of “good enough” data strategies, CMS-aligned use cases, and the need to validate AI for scalable infrastructure.
As we continue testing and refining these solutions, we remain committed to transparency and collaboration. We are grateful for Lyda Hill Philanthropies‘s partnership in these efforts and invite others to join us in reshaping the future of evidence generation.
