The Utah Department of Health reported that a woman aged 15 to 24 is one of four new deaths caused by COVID-19 on Saturday.

Cases reported in the last day • 351.
Deaths reported in the past day • Four, although three of those deaths occurred before May 26 and were only recently confirmed to have been caused by COVID-19.
Salt Lake County has reported two deaths: a woman between 65 and 84 who was in a long-term care facility and a woman between 15 and 24. It is not known if she was hospitalized at the time of death.
Cache County has reported one death: a man over 85 who was residing in a long-term care facility. Utah County also reported one death: a man between the ages of 65 and 84 who was not hospitalized.
Tests reported the day before • 3,831 people were tested for the first time. A total of 6,807 people were tested.
Hospitalizations reported in the last day • 201. It’s two less than Friday. Of those currently hospitalized, 62 are in intensive care, one less than Friday.
Percentage of positive tests • According to the original state method, the rate is 9.1%. This is above / below the seven-day average of 8.9%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeat testing of the same individual. Saturday’s rate was 5.1%, lower than the seven-day average of 5.95%
