Thief slips woman’s wallet but leaves vaccine card behind

TikToker Katie Risher returned to her car to see her windows smashed and her wallet stolen in an alleged theft.

But in a video posted wednesday, the TikToker shows the alleged thief took her away Covid-19 vaccine card from his wallet and left it clearly displayed in the front seat on broken glass and other debris from the theft.

“When the guy breaking into your car is nice enough to pull your vaccination card out of your wallet and leave it for you,” the video reads.

Commentators suggested it was a way of flirting.

“Lowkey, he was probably flirting with Wu,” @savstark wrote.

“You should be dating,” @ bolittle3 commented.

Others joining the comments section shared similar stories of personal belongings theft.

“It’s like when someone got my credit card information and donated to the Red Cross… had to explain to the person at the bank that I didn’t donate,” wrote @woahwhillee.

“Once I was moving everything was in my car [and] he was broken into and they took everything except my [dad’s] rosary, ”@fallingbee added.

“It happened to me, but they took the ultrasound out of my baby,” user @stefidelmar wrote.

About 58% of American adults have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Compared to other countries, this is a high number, but it is still far from the 70-90% that some scientists believe is necessary to obtain herd immunity.

In the United States, the number of Covid-19 cases is stable, but these numbers hide two increasingly separated Americas, where cases continue to drop in urban and suburban areas, but increase in more rural and lesser areas. populations that tend to be more conservative and where people are more reluctant to get vaccinated.

According to the most recent Kaiser Family Foundation Survey72 percent of adult city dwellers have received at least one dose – compared to just 54 percent of adults who live in more rural areas.
