Durham reports two new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday

Two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Durham on Sunday.

No new deaths have been reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 374.

Of those who died, 218 were residents of long-term care homes or retirement homes.

The number of identified cases of COVID-19 variants is now 9,906.

To date, there have been 25,278 cases in Durham, of which 24,864 are now listed as resolved.

There are currently 40 active cases in the region.

Of these, 37 people are isolated at home and three are in hospital.

One of the people hospitalized is in intensive care.
