Covered population data will be used for provincial-level COVID-19 vaccination rates for the population 12 years and older and age groups. Note that other reports will continue to use the covered population figures for 2020 in the provincial dashboard until the new dataset is fully integrated with a full update targeted for the week of July 11. . Full details on vaccine administration for the province, including first and second doses, can be found at https://dashboard.saskatchewan.ca/health-wellness.

Limit the transmission of the variants of concern in your community – Get vaccinated

The number of confirmed cases of the Delta variant has increased dramatically in recent weeks. The Delta variant is believed to be 1.5 times more transmissible and twice as virulent as the Alpha variant.

Two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are required for optimal protection against the Delta variant. Residents are strongly encouraged to receive their first and second doses as soon as possible.

Getting tested also helps monitor active cases and variants of concern in the province. Even if you have mild symptoms, stay home and request a COVID-19 test. The COVID-19 test is available to all residents. You can receive a referral for a COVID-19 test through HealthLine 811 or a health care provider, and drive-thru test sites are available without referral seven days a week in Regina, Saskatoon, Yorkton and Prince Albert. Information on what symptoms to look out for and how to get tested can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-testing.
