Boston residents who recently visited Provincetown urged to get tested for COVID-19

If you live in Boston and have visited Provincetown since July 1, the city is asking you to get tested for COVID-19 and self-isolate until you test negative.

Even if you have been fully vaccinated, the city asks you to get tested at least five days after you return home. You are also advised to self-isolate for at least five days and until you receive a negative coronavirus test.

At least 35 cases of COVID-19 in Boston have been attributed to a group in Provincetown, according to a press release from the city. Public authorities at the popular tourist destination are asking residents and visitors to resume wearing masks indoors, regardless of their vaccination status.

At least 100 people who live in or visited Provincetown during the July 4 vacation have tested positive for the coronavirus.
