JUNCTION CITY, Kansas (JC Post) – Officials at Geary Community Hospital are urging the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Communications director Ashley King said recent statistics showed the county had the lowest vaccination rate percentage in the state and hospitalizations had also increased recently.
There are also reports of cases of the delta variant of COVID-19. “We see a lot of Delta variants and a lot of breakthroughs. A breakthrough is someone who is fully vaccinated and has been vaccinated for two weeks, but then becomes positive for COVID. These breakthroughs have been a Delta. “
GCH, CVS Pharmacy, Wal Mart, Konza Prairie Community Health Center and Department of Health are providing COVID-19 vaccines.
King urged people to get vaccinated and if you are not vaccinated, to wear your mask. Face masks are mandatory at Geary Community Hospital.
