Baihaki predicts that Jokowi will be more inclined towards Prabowo than Ganjar Pranowo. Although the day before, Jokowi was also seen together with Ganjar at an event in Central Java.

“It is clear that the more Pak Jokowi comes here, the more he will give signals to Pak Prabowo,” he said.

Baihaki believes that Prabowo is more committed to Jokowi in terms of continuing Indonesia’s development.

“It may also be that Pak Jokowi is more comfortable with Pak Prabowo. But it is clear that the moment in Malang shows that President Jokowi wants to introduce Prabowo-Erick to the public,” he said.

Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UINSA) political observer Andri Arianto said the moment showed President Jokowi enjoying his role today.

“Pak Jokowi really enjoyed his position towards the end of his term. So he can do anything, meet anyone, enjoy his power today to get closer to anyone,” Andri said.

According to Andri Jokowi, he has given the public a signal that his successor must be in the same command as Jokowi.

“The interesting thing is that Jokowi’s behavior today shows him that the president of Indonesia is different from before. Add to this the great satisfaction of the public, then all the political party leaders really hope for Jokowi’s blessing and Jokowi greets all the political elites, what will later become the political elite must be Jokowi men,” he said.

“If it’s heavier on a certain character, maybe it’s still too early,” he said.
