TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has decided to continue to use Restrictions on the Activities of Micro-Communities (PPKM) to deal with the rise of Covid-19 cases.
House Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad believes the decision is through in-depth research.
Dasco said the tolerance of micro-PPKM violators should be reduced.
“If the current peak is higher, I don’t think tolerance should be too much. If there are places that are supposed to be closed at the time, they are still open, maybe they just got a warning earlier, I think they will close immediately,” Dasco said on Thursday (24/6/2021) at the Parliamentary Center, Senayan, Jakarta.

The daily chairman of the Gerindra party reminded field officials to adhere strictly to the micro-PPKM rules.
In addition, the public is urged to remain obedient in the implementation of health protocols.
“We expect law enforcement to work together to hope we are safer because Covid-19 is indeed high,” he said.
“We also urge the community to work together to maintain or run the program in strict accordance with the rules to be followed under the micro-PPKM,” he added.

Previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) decided to continue in the face of an increase in Covid-19 cases using the Restriction of Activities of Micro-Communities (PPKM).
The President continues to believe that PPKM Micro can reduce the spread of Covid-19 cases.
“If the micro-PPKM is implemented correctly, action on the ground will be continuously strengthened if the number of cases is monitored,” Jokowi said in a statement sent by the Presidential Secretariat on Youtube on Wednesday (June 23, 2012).
Therefore, Jokowi asked the regional leaders to sharpen the implementation of the micro-PPKM.
Governors, governors, mayors optimize the Covid-19 posts created in each village or subdivision.
“The main function of the command post is to encourage change in human behavior so that 3M disciplines, wearing masks, keeping distance, washing hands. 3M discipline is key and will strengthen the implementation of 3T testing, tracking and care in the village,” he said.
