The foals don’t yet know how severe Carson Wentz’s foot injury is, but it’s starting to sound like a concern.
Wentz missed training today and is now out indefinitely as he continues to run tests on his foot, according to Adam Shifter and ESPN’s Mike Wells.
The Colts have been traded with Wentz, a favorite of coach Frank Reich, with the idea that they can get him back on track after a disastrous 2020 season in Philadelphia. They would like to see him get as much work as possible with the Colts attack as he can in training camp.
But right now Wentz is out, and Jacob Eason’s 2020 fourth-round pick and 2021 Sam Ellinger’s sixth-round pick are the next quarterbacks on the depth chart.
