CDOT in a press release. Heavy rain flooded the area over the past few days with frequent flash flood warnings. “Mudslides and debris reached I-70 within a few minutes,” CDOT said Thursday evening, after a second warning from Glenwood Canyon.
This resulted in at least 29 vehicles stranded on the highway. CDOT said it was “very confident” that it accounted for every person in every vehicle.
