South Park creators want to buy Real Casa Bonita, but it’s not for sale

Trey Parker and Matt Stone want to buy their beloved Colorado signature restaurant in South Park, but it’s still just a dream…because we’re told Casa Bonita isn’t for sale.

Here’s the deal… The creators of “South Park” made it well known this week that they want to buy the Mexican restaurant they often shout at their sitcom, in part because the real Casa Bonita has been closed since the start of the pandemic.

But, despite satisfying their desire to buy Casa Bonita, they are in the restaurant’s parent company, Summit Family Restaurant Inc. , they told TMZ… they were not interested in selling, despite filing for bankruptcy.

Since filing for bankruptcy, we’ve been told that several people have reached out to Summit about buying Casa Bonita — but Trey and Matt weren’t among them.

Decision makers at the summit told us that they plan to reopen Casa Bonita as soon as possible once the current bankruptcy process is over, with the goal of getting people back to work next month. Casa Bonita has been owned by Summit for 25 years.

The door wasn’t fully closed on Trey and Matt who owns Casa Bonita one day…we were told if Summit wanted to sell the joint, the “South Park” builders would be at the top of the list of potential buyers.
