Marvel’s new Black Panther actor may have been revealed

A devastating news came out about a year ago. Chadwick Boseman, the beloved Black Panther actor, has died after quietly battling cancer for years. Disney didn’t even know about his condition. Speculation swirled about how Marvel would deal with the loss. A Black Panther sequel was in development, although it was clear that changes would be necessary.

In the months since Boseman’s death, we’ve seen all sorts of rumors about the upcoming Black Panther actor. Fans have called on Marvel not to recast T’Challa. Instead, Shuri (Leetitia Wright) should be the new warrior leader of Wakanda. Then Marvel announced the title Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in December. At that point, Kevin Feige confirmed that Marvel would not replace Bosman with a new actor. Marvel’s top CEO didn’t say who would play Black Panther in Part Two at the time. Now, however, a new leak may reveal Marvel’s plans for Black Panther in Wakanda Forever. Keep in mind, some spoilers follow below.

Candidates

Some of the rumors we’ve seen since last August have said that Shurey might be the next Black Panther. Just like in the comics, just like Marvel wanted it to happen in the end. Others said M’Baku (Winston Duke) or Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) might be the potential Black Panther in the sequel. Or at least worthy contenders. We’ve even seen rumors that the new actor will be the next Black Panther. It wouldn’t be from Shuri, Embaco, or Nakia.

Then we had reports claiming that Shurey would become the Black Panther, but she wouldn’t quite get the title. She will have to prove herself in the movie before she replaces her brother as leader of Wakanda.

This brings us to the supposed scoop for That Hashtag Show. Black Panther: Wakanda will never give us the identity of the new Black Panther from the start. The report says the film has gone through several rewrites. thats understood. Bosman’s death forced Marvel to rethink the highly anticipated sequel.

The identity of the new Black Panther actor has been revealed

The story continues

According to the report, Marvel will not reveal who will play Black Panther in marketing the movie. We’ll have to wait to see in theaters to find out:

We can share that you shouldn’t expect Wakanda Forever to immediately answer who’s next Black Panther. Don’t even expect to spoil marketing materials or any pre-release content. Marvel Studios diverts the question, “Who is the next Black Panther?” In an integral part of the story, it will be a core story in the film. The movie will introduce some contenders and address some possibilities, but by the end of the movie, you’ll have a definitive answer as to who the next Black Panther will be.

The report says that Shuri will indeed become the Black Panther. You will take the mantle in the third chapter and defeat the main opponent. But the report does not explain how Marvel will deal with Boseman’s death. An earlier report suggested that T’Challa may die off screen, possibly due to illness. And we shouldn’t expect Marvel to use the CGI version of T’Challa in the sequel.

The Hashtag Show also claims that the main villain of Wakanda Forever is Namor the Submariner. Other reports said the same thing. We’ve been hearing for months that Tenoc Huerta will play Namor, and this latest report backs that up. There is no Dr. Dom in Black Panther 2.

Wakanda Forever launches on July 8, 2022. Until then, we’ll hear Boseman in the MCU for the last time in What If…? TV program. He will play a variant of T’Challa who ended up being Star-Lord instead of Black Panther.
