First reported by The Washington Post, FEC filings for Trump’s leadership are PAC Save America, a PAC called Make America Great Again and a joint fundraising committee that oversees and manages the funds for both groups.

Trump, who has $102 million on hand, according to filings, was only slightly outdone in the first six months of 2021 by the Republican National Committee, which reported raising $84 million.

The sums show Trump’s fundraising prowess even after he has left the Oval Office, including through fundraising efforts fueled by his unsupported allegations of theft of the 2020 presidential election.

The filings were announced on the last day that PACs are eligible to disclose fundraising and spending for the first half of the year.

Previously filed Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings revealed that the Save America PAC, formed after the 2020 election to help fund the Trump team’s electoral legal efforts, had generated nearly $31.2 million by the end of 2020.

However, The Post reported earlier this month that PAC has not yet used any of the approximately $75 million it raised to help fund the election reviews.

People familiar with the matter told the news outlet that while the commission kept a lot of the money, a portion was used to pay for some of Trump’s expenses, including travel and attorney costs, as well as employee salaries.

Trump has repeatedly sent letters through the PAC to promote his unsupported allegations of widespread voter fraud, as well as data supporting election audits, including those still ongoing in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Trump has broad authority over how the money raised by his political groups is used, although he has indicated that he will use some of the money to support allied candidates in the 2022 midterm elections.
