The upcoming “Fortnite” party starring Ariana Grande

[ad_1]

Epic Games continues the Superstar Fortnite party series. The game developer has revealed the “Rift Tour” party series that will star only pop singer Ariana Grande. The show will premiere on August 6 at 6 p.m. ET, with subsequent shows on August 7 and 8 to ensure people in other time zones can listen to it.

The game developer warns concertgoers to arrive early (an hour before the show). The Rift Tour playlist will be published 30 minutes prior to launch. It also wouldn’t surprise you to hear that there will be themed cosmetics. You can choose to dress Ariana to play as the pop star, and Piggy Smallz Back Bling adds a nice touch as you defeat your opponents in the battle royale. Both should appear at the Fortnite Item Shop on August 4 at 8 p.m. ET, and attendees will receive a parachute.

As with J Balvin, Travis Scott, and other Fortnite artists, it’s as much about attracting newcomers to the game as it is about enticing people back. It’s also worth noting that Epic is expanding its lineup of artists to include female stars (the newly discovered plans for a Lady Gaga party never went away). In theory, Grande could help find people who wouldn’t play Fortnite otherwise — even if only a portion of them remained once the “Seven Rings” singer moved on.
