Police investigating the rape of a 15-year-old girl at sea off Bournemouth beach have released an email to her suspected attacker in a new plea for information.
The accident occurred in the waters near the Oceanarium at approximately 3.30 pm on Sunday, July 18.
Dorset investigators said the victim was with her friends playing ball when she fell in front of a teenage boy.
Eventually he threw the ball back to one of the group and then began to speak to the victim, before dragging her into the depths of the sea where he was said to have raped her.
The perpetrator told the victim that he was 17 years old and was traveling to Birmingham. It is believed that he is from the city of West Midlands.
He was described as likely to be of Pakistani descent and of dark skin.
He is believed to be between 5 feet 5 feet 7 inches tall, of slim build but muscular with short, dark hair that has been pushed back and looked newly manicured.
The perpetrator was wearing black or gray swimming trunks.
Detectives from the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigative Team have launched an investigation into the incident.
Officers say they received a number of reports of Asian youths approaching beachgoers on the date of the incident, some of whom may have exchanged messages on Snapchat.

They are asking anyone to exchange Snapchat messages with someone who approached them on the beach that day to please the officers.
Detective Wayne Seymour of the Department of Communications and Information Technology said: “The victim continues to be supported by officers and we are conducting a large number of investigations into this incident.
“As part of our investigation, we obtained forensic evidence which means we will be able to disqualify anyone who was not involved in our investigations.
“We have now obtained an e-fit photo of the suspect and I would urge anyone who recognizes him to contact him.
“We have also received a number of reports of Asian youths approaching beachgoers on the date of the incident, some of whom may have exchanged messages on Snapchat.
“I would urge anyone who exchanged Snapchat messages with someone who approached them at the beach that day to please contact us as it may help with our investigation.
“In addition, I would like to renew our appeal to anyone who has been on the beach near the Oceanarium to check any photos or videos that have been taken to see if they have taken anything relevant.”
Neighborhood Inspector Darren Harris, of Bournemouth Police, said: “I understand this incident has caused concern to the wider community. We continue to work collaboratively with BCP and other partner agencies to ramp up patrols along the waterfront and these efforts will continue throughout the summer.”
