Tottenham have had a busy week, with the north London club set to sign Argentine defender Cristian Romero for around £43m from Serie A club Atalanta.

However, talk of Romero moving to N17 has been just background noise as Tottenham forward Harry Kane did not turn up for training this week despite the fact that he was expected to return to the Hotspur Way training ground on Monday.

Instead, the England captain opted to continue his vacation in the Bahamas, which has cast doubt on his future at the north London club, especially considering he has made no secret of his desire to win titles in the past, something Spurs have failed to achieve since 2008.

The 28-year-old has been closely linked with a move to Premier League champions Manchester City, who will likely have to spend upwards of £150m for the prolific striker given he still has three years to play in his current deal.
