Come Dancing Delicately: CBBC presenter Reese revealed in lineup

Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed her sixth name for the 2021 collection, with the success of Dragon’s Den, Sarah Davis has announced her engagement.

The star was revealed on the bill during a Monday morning episode of ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

The businesswoman announced that she will be joining the dance series with Kate Garroy and Ben Shepherd.

It comes on the heels of the announcements of five other names, with the 2021 roster list now in full swing with some exciting people on the bill.

The first to be confirmed was McFly guitarist and singer Tom Fletcher, who shared his enthusiasm to follow in the footsteps of fellow bandmate Harry Judd, who won the series back in 2011.

After Tom, comedian Robert Webb was announced next on The One Show – with a third name also confirmed during the same show.

TV presenter AJ Odudu was the third person to be announced, thrilled that she was finally able to tell her mother the good news.

Robert said of joining the series, “I’m so excited to be on Strictly this year. It’s such a big, generous and exhilarating show that I can’t wait to pack in one piece of spandex and shoot a gleaming cannon straight at Claudia Winkelmann.”

“At least I think that’s what happens. My goal is to try to survive week to week without causing serious injury to myself or innocent bystanders. I know it’s going to be a challenge. Doing well in this competition is a test of character, even though it’s a dance test. Basically “.

Meanwhile, AJ commented, “I’m upset that I’m going to dance this year, and I’m so glad I finally told my mom.

“Her face would be a picture, she’d be over the moon! I absolutely love the show and am totally committed to making the most of every second of the rigorous experience. Bring it!”

Bake Off hero John Whaite was the fourth name revealed, as he is set to make history on the show by being part of the first-ever male pair in the series.

He said, “It is my honor, when they asked me if I would care I just remove their hands.

“Doing that and representing the LGBTQ+ community is one thing, but also seeing two men or two women dance together, it’s not necessarily about sex, it’s about intimacy and respect.

“I think that would be a wonderful thing in our culture where men are conditioned not to be open and emotional, and I think it would help combat that.”

Finally, the fifth name revealed so far is CBBC host Rhys Stephenson.

Speaking on CBC Newsround on Friday morning, Reese said, “I’m hyped to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing 2021. I’ve dreamed of being on this show, and I know for a fact that it will exceed all expectations.”

“I can’t wait to try it all: costumes, orchestras, even Craig’s glow! I’m ready!”

There are still more names to be announced, with 15 celebrities believed to be in total this year.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
