Take-Two has three other remakes/remakes in the works.

In a public presentation following the disclosure of Take-Two’s earnings for the first quarter of fiscal 2022, the publisher shared some public highlights about its pipeline over the next two fiscal years.

Take-Two typically divides its projects into one of four categories: Immersive Core, Indie, Mobile, and new iterations of previously released titles. The last one of these refers to everything that is in the development ports of existing games, and the limiters of older titles.

Take-Two has six of these in the works, according to slides [PDF]. The upcoming GTA 5 remaster is included on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as the standalone GTA Online version. Then there is the Kerbal Space Program.

Furthermore, there are three unspecified projects that Take-Two considers to be a remake/remake. The publisher did not say which company would be responsible for those games. Take-Two owns 2K, Rockstar, and Private Division games. Except for the special section, either tag can work on remasters or re-releases of their games.

Everyone, of course, loves to imagine Rockstar working on bringing classic GTA games to modern systems, and enhancing them in some way. But nothing has been announced on this front, and Rockstar doesn’t usually remake or remake, except for their newer/actively-playing titles like GTA 5.

Elsewhere on the same earnings call, Take-Two revealed that it’s announcing a new game this month, rumored to be Firaxis’ Marvel XCOM Project.
