Sarah Davis, star of BBC’s Dean Dragons, is the sixth celebrity star to be announced as a contestant on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The celebrity firsts were announced last week, as MacFly star Tom Fletcher and Robert Webb of The Peep Show and TV presenter AJ Odudu were revealed on The One Show on the BBC.
CBBC host Rhys Stephenson and former Bake Off winner John Whaite will also take to the dance floor on the BBC One series, where Whaite is set to compete as part of the show’s first male duo.
Sarah, 37, an entrepreneur and TV star, was revealed as the latest star to give her best on Monday.
She joined Dragons’ Den, where entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to business leaders willing to invest their own money, in 2019, replacing Jenny Campbell.
She is the youngest investor in the program ever.

She said, “Mom and Dad are going to be very excited.
“I’m really nervous because even now the producers ask me if I can dance.
Truth be told, I have no idea!
“I haven’t danced since I took ballet lessons when I was young.
“The business world has taught me that perseverance, drive, and determination lead to results, and I hope I can make it happen on the dance floor.
“And I’m excited to see the effect of all those hours of training on my mom’s tumor!”
It was revealed that Davis is taking part in the show during an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
When asked if there will be an audience this year, after the 2020 series kicks off without fans being able to watch on the dance floor, she said, “I really hope so.
“We’re still waiting for a lot of plans, but I think a small studio audience will be allowed, so maybe family bubbles.
“I just want my mum and dad to be there for you to come and watch, it’s just going to make their lives.
“That’s why I couldn’t tell them, not because they don’t want to keep a secret, but they always explode with pride.
“I tried to trust them with the Dragon’s Secret and it was a disaster so I couldn’t tell them accurately.
“They wouldn’t mean to leak it, but they certainly would.”
Davis is the founder of Crafter’s Companion, a global specialist in craft tools.
She founded the company when she was a university student in 2005 and now employs nearly 250 people around the world.
