Nearly 25,000 people have complained to Ofcom after Faye Winter’s long, swear-laden outburst of Teddy Soares on Love Island.

About 24,763 people complained to the watchdog about the episode on August 6, when a brawl erupted after contestants showed each other footage of the Mad Movies Challenge.

The pair got into a heated argument after the islanders played a clip of Teddy telling Clarice Juliet, who has since been eliminated, that he’s attracted to her.

In the video, he tells Clarice that he’s “technically single” during a flirtatious exchange, and the pair are also shown kissing during the challenge.

After playing the clip to the islanders, Fei expressed her anger at what she saw.

She said, “Did Teddy ever go back and say he was sexually attracted to someone? No.”

She later told him, “I know my worth and for me, it’s done.”

Ofcom said the vast majority of complaints are about the rider’s post-match behavior.

A spokesperson for Ofcom said: “We received a large number of complaints about Love Island last week, which is in line with a growing trend of complaints about high-profile TV shows.

“We carefully evaluate the complaints we have received, before deciding whether or not to investigate them.”

Rentals agent Faye and chief financial advisor Teddy have since reconciled in the wake of the feud.

On Tuesday’s episode, she told him, “I’m really sorry for the way I talked to you.

“There is no excuse for the way I spoke to you or how I raised my voice and no one should speak to them that way.”

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
