Everton kick off their Premier League campaign this weekend as they welcome Southampton to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
It’s been a challenging pre-season for newly appointed coach Rafa Benitez with players returning late after the summer tournaments, as well as injuries to some of the key first-team players.
Here are the latest updates on Everton’s injury list, including full details on when their return is expected.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed the Blues’ final friendly against Manchester United last week with a minor injury, but the 24-year-old will be fit for the season opener.
Calvert Lewin came back late after playing Euro 2020 with England, but after injuring his toe in training last week, he was unable to play a role at Old Trafford.
But speaking about his side’s first game of the season against Southampton, Rafa Benitez has confirmed that the striker will be available for the Blues against Ralph Hessenhuttl’s side.
Richarlison
While Richarlison is in shape and shooting after taking the Olympic gold with Brazil at the weekend, the 24-year-old missed Everton’s full pre-season campaign.
And he returned to training earlier this week, which gave Benitez a boost with the striker in the competition to face Southampton.
Richarlison was expected to miss the start of the season to rest after a busy summer with Brazil, but it has now emerged that Everton have given the 24-year-old the green light on the understanding that he will not need a long rest.
But just like Calvert Lewin, the former Watford will be available for the Blues against the Saints on Saturday.

Andre Gomes
Gomez was also not included in the squad that faced United and was also absent from training this week as the team was put in their stride ahead of the season opener.
James Rodriguez
Rodriguez played the first half of the Blues’ defeat to United, but fans were concerned that he was not filmed in the club’s latest training video released on Thursday.
However, Blues boss Benitez confirmed on Friday that the Colombian is one of five players currently in isolation due to COVID-19 protocols and will miss the Southampton game as a result.
