21 symptoms of covid that you should know – even if you had the vaccine

Coronavirus experts warn people to remain vigilant for more than 21 symptoms of Covid – even if they have been fully vaccinated against the virus.

Levels of coronavirus infection remain high across much of the UK, according to the latest data.

Separate numbers show that the rate of new virus cases is currently rising in all four countries, indicating that the sharp decline in Covid-19 cases that has been underway since mid-July is now over.

The prevalence is highest in Northern Ireland, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), where it is estimated that one in 55 people contracted Covid-19 last week – unchanged from the previous week and the highest level since late January.

Followed by England, where the number is about one in 75 people, also unchanged from the previous week.

The Office for National Statistics said that while the percentage of people who tested positive for coronavirus in England “continued to rise”, the estimates indicated an “overall downward trend over the past two weeks”.

In Wales, where an estimated 1 in 220 people contracted the virus last week, the Office for National Statistics described the trend as “uncertain”. It has not changed widely in one of 230 in the previous week.

Scotland was the only region to see a decrease, with the Office for National Statistics estimating that one in 190 people contracted Covid-19 in the week ending August 7, down from one in 120 in the previous week.

Professor Tim Spector, from King’s College London, is the principal investigator for the PREDICT studies and the ZOE Covid Symptom Study.

Britons have previously warned that they need to be aware of additional symptoms not listed by the NHS.

The NHS currently lists three main symptoms of the fatal flaw responsible for the global health crisis.

They are a persistent, newly developed cough, fever or high temperature, and sudden loss of taste and smell.

But Professor Spector now said: “People really need to know that there is more than just the three classic symptoms.”

21 COVID symptoms to look out for

Here is the complete list of 21 symptoms to look for according to Professor Spector:

High temperature (fever) Chills or chills Persistent cough Loss or change in smell Loss or change in sense of taste Headache Unusual fatigue Sore throat Sudden confusion Skin rash Changes in the mouth or tongue COVID-19 fingers or toes Shortness of breath Chest pains Headaches Muscle Horse Sound Diarrhea Skipping Meals Abdominal Pain Runny Nose Sneezing
