Harry Kane increasingly likely to stay – Tottenham fans react

[ad_1]

Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to express their reaction after The Times claimed today that Harry Kane is likely to stay at the club for another season.

Kane has been closely linked with a move to Manchester City this summer. The Premier League champions have already turned down a bid of £100m.

There have been allegations that City will make another new bid next week, close to Tottenham’s £150m valuation.

However, The Times claimed that club president Daniel Levy is digging to thwart City’s ambitions to sign the England captain.

Tottenham remain steadfast in their determination to retain their key player. Contrary to reports, no further discussions have taken place between the two clubs regarding Kane.

The north London club feel City are too late to negotiate a deal for their striker, and they would find it difficult to replace him if they sold him now.

With only 17 days left before the transfer window closes, there is an expectation that Kane will accept to remain at the club for another season.

Spurs fans are divided on their opinions about Kane. Some feel that the club should keep him because he is irreplaceable, while others believe that Tottenham should take the money and invest wisely in the team.

Here are some specific tweets from Tottenham fans:

He’s invaluable and irreplaceable… I’d rather have him go for free at the end of his contract than the £150m now when a lesser striker would cost close to £100m and potentially Soldado!

He loves the club too much to let him leave the Golden Boot again and the incoming playmaker award, see you in the Champions League to kick you out again from ManCity

Yes, it is too late at this point for us to be able to replace him even if they eventually meet the rating. Prices will all be raised to replace it on this day close to the deadline and there is no time to integrate them. City chose to play poker and set off in a game of 7, 2.

I’m sure that’s MCFC’s strategy but Levi is not going to play this game because it puts us in a very difficult situation trying to (a) bring in the right substitute, and (b) integrate them into the team. Better to seal a deal with Kane for this season with an agreed exit fee of £100m for 22/23.

Levi would leave too late and Kane’s value could drop dramatically with age and possibly one injury. He should take the money and move on.

Well, no… it’s too late. City offered far less than the player deserved. Then they turned to Grealish and signed him, at the same time remaining their supposed first target. Pip is a checkbook manager who can’t bully Levi, and he finally doesn’t get his own way!!

What a great player and this is a waste of talent. It would be different if he wanted to stay, but he made it clear that he wanted to leave. Nobody is winning here, and no matter if #Kane stays or goes, there will be no devices for #THFC this year.

I would be surprised if I saw him again in a Tottenham shirt.

I hope selling it right isn’t essential to our rebuilding.

If he wants to leave, he should be able to charge, he should accept that and work on getting a good deal for him and the club.

Tottenham are looking to sign at least two more players this summer, with the club prioritizing it.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Lautaro Martinez, but Inter Milan are reluctant to sell him.
