Princess Eugenie may have to “live in exile” if she takes part in Prince Harry’s long-awaited memoir, according to a royal commentator.
If the book is offensive to members of the royal family, you may have to keep out of the public eye.
The memoir may have to go through members of the royal family before it’s published – and Princess Eugenie could be one to help.
Penguin Random House will publish a four-part series for Prince Harry, in which the Duke of Sussex is stepping down as a prominent member of the royal family alongside his wife, Meghan Markle.
A royal expert has claimed that the book, due out next year, is said to hang above his family like “the sword of Damocles.”

The term is an illusion of the threat of permanent or imminent danger, affecting those in positions of power, writes The Express.
The long-awaited book could lead to a backlash for the princess, according to Duncan Larcombe, a former royal editor.
He told Royal Beat on True Royalty TV that he hoped any backlash would not affect Eugenie’s relationship with other members of the royal family.
He told Kate Thornton, “I always laugh, so [Princess] Eugenie helps with the book, let’s just hope for her sake that doesn’t mean she also doesn’t have to live in exile when all the royals are offended.”
He hinted that the contents could be controversial and that Eugenie was “flirtting” with danger if she got involved in the publication.
Russell Myers, royal editor of The Mirror, told Pod Save the Queen Podcast: “No one is going to come unharmed here. Maybe it’s some sort of cure for Harry that he can relieve himself of the burden, but no one in the royal family will come unscathed.” .
The Duke of Sussex announced the book earlier this month, with reports that it will be a “definitive account” of his “experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons”.
During the announcement, Harry said: “I am writing this not as the prince I was born, but as the man I became.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, literally and figuratively, and I hope that telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
