Goalkeeper Darren Randolph has urged Jesse Lingard to leave Manchester United and sign a permanent contract with West Ham.
Lingard appeared to face a future away from Old Trafford when he went on loan to West Ham in January. He failed to appear once in the Premier League in the first half of the season. But his move to the London Stadium led to a remarkable recovery.
He scored nine goals in 16 matches to help West Ham reach the European positions, while also regaining competition with the England national team.
West Ham would love to keep him, but their hopes of doing so are dwindling. With only 12 months left on his contract, Manchester United have boosted their assessment of Lingard as a result of his latest form.
In fact, recent reports claim United could be seeking as much as £35m for his sale during this summer.
Understandably, with two weeks of the window remaining, the Hammers are ready to be patient on Lingard.
However, it has also been said that Lingard is willing to stay at United and fight for his place at their side.
But that did nothing to deter Hammers goalkeeper Randolph from making a fresh appeal to bring Lingard back to West Ham.
In an Instagram story, Randolph wrote: “Jesse Lingard, see you soon at Rush Green for training! I knew you wanted!”
Speaking last week, Lingard appears unwilling to shut the door after returning to the Hammers.
“It worked out perfectly, I could not have asked for a better loan. I will always support West Ham,” Lingard told MailOnline.
“They will stay in my heart and I will keep that bond with them.
“I’m not going to rush into anything. What’s coming is coming. I feel like I’m in the driver’s seat. I’m happy.”

Solskjaer gives more hope to Jesse Lingard
Lingard was not part of the United squad that started the season by destroying Leeds 5-1 on Saturday.
However, having made a major appearance in their pre-season campaign, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once again hinted that Lingard still has a role to play.
“Don’t forget Jesse Lingard,” Solskjaer said when asked about his offensive options.
“He has reinvented himself and the man we know is back. With quality [he has]It will play a big role. I forgot about him when I talked about the scorers but he showed up last season.
“Of course, there can be more rotations. We will be fresher. You have to have a big and strong team to be able to compete in this league. It is the best league in the world.
“We have to be lucky with the injuries. I’m looking forward to working with those of course.”
